How did I spent my birthday last Friday? I took the day off and spent the better part of the morning and the afternoon at Sunway Pyramid, waiting for my brother to finish his graduation ceremony that my parents were also attending.

While waiting, I helped myself to the Esprit store, buying two expensive shirts (and qualifying for the Esprit card) and also browsed around the MPH bookstore, snagging The Other Boleyn Girl, which turned out to be much more explicit than the movie of the same title.

Dinner was at Shangri-la’s Lemon Garden with my parents picking up the tab. The food was great but an upset stomach (due to a sucky lunch at Zen) threw a spannar into the night’s proceedings. This year I got a Swatch Irony watch from the girlfriend. Thanks baby. Hehe. Not forgetting, a Quicksilver shirt from my brother.

What did I get for my brother for his graduation? I got him a PSP as soon as his final exam results were published last year.

Something weird happened on Friday night on the way home from dinner. I’m a notoriously slow player when it comes to Super Mario Bros 3, taking a very long time to finish individual worlds (e.g. an entire week). Usually I fare better at the Super Mario All Stars version of SMB3 compared to the GBA version (Super Mario Advance 4) but that night I managed to finish World 2 (SMA4), in an MPV speeding on a highway. Birthday luck perhaps?
