The Black Friday shopping season is on us. We used to watch the news on how States-side shoppers will crowd outside a Walmart or Target or any other shop to try and rush in to get electronic goods sold at discounted prices. Yup, those scenes of madness generated what came to be known as Black Friday Chaos.
The main question I had at that the time was, haven’t these guys heard of e-commerce? Isn’t this the country that gave birth to Amazon Prime? Why the obsession of queuing up in front of stores? In any case, the Americans have probably learnt a thing or two from China’s Singles Day sales, which are wso much more larger in scale and revenue. Back to Black Friday. Thankfully, Sony is not only have physical Black Friday sales with discount on physical games and older accessories like the DualShock 4, but also on digital games the PlayStation Store. I did score a couple of titles with the first one being the rather new and well-received triple-A title from Square Enix, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
I’ve been wanting to check this out and since the Xbox Series S has been the console for Game Pass titles, I’ve been rather picky on what titles to get (read: spend) on the PS5 and this is one of them. I didn’t bother about getting the Deluxe addition though, as the standard version at a discount price of USD 39 would suffice.
The other title that I purchased was the rather polarizing Cyberpunk 2077. I understand that this ambitious title from the folks at CD Projekt is promised a free upgrade to the PS5 version of the game in 2022. Here’s hoping for a decently playable and hopefully amazing-looking game by then.
