Hey gamers! It’s an exciting time with several cool new titles launching across various platforms. Here are a few upcoming releases I’m particularly looking forward to checking out:

Wargroove 2 (Sept 19)

Turn-based tactics are back with this sequel to the charming Wargroove. New commanders, an updated Groove system, and a roguelike Conquest mode add fresh twists to the addictive gameplay. I’m especially excited about the enhanced map/campaign editors – the creative possibilities should be endless.

Launching on Xbox One, Series S/X, Windows Store, and importantly, it will be available on Xbox Game Pass from Day One. The cross-play support and inclusion on Game Pass should help ensure a healthy player base from the start.

Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged (Sept 19)

Adventure game fans, rejoice! This classic point-and-click is getting a stunning makeover. With redrawn backgrounds, reanimated character sprites, and enhanced audio, it’s set to introduce George and Nico’s globe-trotting mystery to a whole new generation. The ability to switch between original and reforged visuals is a nice touch for nostalgic players.

Available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC, with a Switch version coming in October.

The Karate Kid: Street Rumble (Sept 20)

Wax on, wax off…and then beat ’em up! This retro-style brawler lets you relive the classic Karate Kid trilogy in pixelated glory. With local co-op for up to 4 players, you can crane kick your way through iconic movie locations as Daniel, Mr. Miyagi, and other characters. The chiptune soundtrack and old-school graphics look like they’ll really capture that 80s arcade vibe.

Priced at USD 39.99, which IMHO think it’s a little expensive for an old movie IP, the combination of nostalgic IP and classic beat ’em up gameplay could make this a real crowd-pleaser, especially for fans of the original movies. Available on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam

Age of Empires Mobile (Oct 17)

The legendary RTS franchise is coming to phones and tablets! This mobile adaptation looks to bring large-scale empire building and epic battles to the small screen. The final pre-launch test is happening soon, letting players try out features like 6 playable civilizations and massive alliance vs alliance sieges. Strategy fans will definitely want to keep an eye on this one.

AoE Mobile will be available in 12 languages and is a free-to-play title on iOS and Android.

Each of these games brings something unique to the table, whether it’s nostalgia-fueled action, grand strategy on the go, or polished turn-based tactics. The variety showcases the diversity of the gaming landscape right now, with options for different tastes and platforms.

Which of these games are you most excited to try? Are there any features you’re particularly looking forward to? Let me know in the comments! And stay tuned for more coverage and reviews once these titles drop. Game on!
