The folks at Megagon Industries haven’t been resting on their laurels and one year after the release of their downhill MTB title, Lonely Mountains: Downhill, the game has just gotten its first DLC expansion pack on the 22nd of October.
Now I’ve really enjoyed the Nintendo Switch version of the game (which was released this year, check out that review here), and the new expansion, dubbed “Eldfjall Island“, is also the largest and most versatile mountain in the game to date.
“Eldfjall Island” is a rough and diverse volcanic island, which motivates the players to explore a completely new terrain. The changing weather on the island makes it even more challenging to find the way down the mountain paths and survive safely. Players have access to new routes, new outfits, and paintwork while experiencing new terrain and special effects.
The DLC is available on all platforms (Steam, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and probably a week later, PS4) at a price of USD 5.99. Players new to the game can purchase the Lonely Mountains: Downhill Bundle which features not only the main game and new DLC but also the brand new ASMR Soundtrack.
Besides the DLC, the main game has also received a big free update, The Daily Rides. Every day a random route with new routes, obstacles and shortcuts is waiting for the players.
The Daily Rides will take place in different themed seasons, where new and unique rewards can be unlocked for participation. Players can earn points to climb to the top of the new Daily Rankings or Seasonal Rankings.
