Remember when we first posted about Schein, the game from Zeppelin Studio that captured first place in Microsoft’s Imagine Cup 2013 Games Competition (click here to check out that post)? That game is about to be released on Steam on the 10th of October 2014 (which also happens to be my birthday!) after having making it through Greenlight. The game will be available in four languages, with French and Spanish being the newly supported ones.
This release date was timed to coincide with the beginning of the Game City expo in Vienna, which for the first time ever will host an Indie Game Area. Among seven gorgeous game studios from all over Austria and Germany, Zeppelin Studio will once again be presenting its award winning pilot project to the public.
Apart from that Schein is competing in the Content Award Vienna 2014. You can help by voting on award.scheingame.com until October 1st! Here is a beautiful 3-step instruction sheet on how to vote: https://codecube.eu/public/ContentAwardInstructions.jpg
For those of you unfamiliar with the game, Schein is a challenging puzzle platformer that tells the story of a desperate man, who ventures forth into the mystical swamp in search of his missing son. As he gets lost in the darkness, a wisp appears that offers him help, guidance, and its magical power: A light that changes the world. Use this mighty power and your wits to unveil new dimensions, defeat deadly beasts, solve tricky puzzles and uncover hidden paths through the murky swamp.
