The gutsy folks at Craneballs are at it again, with an upcoming follow up to their uber-hit Overkill 2. Titled Overkill 3, the multi-platform game is the company’s biggest and most ambitious yet, and it has the distinction of being their first title using Unity. Overkill 3 moves the series to the 3D world of 3rd person cover based shooter with interactive cutscenes and wow moments.
When compared to other games in the same genre (think Robocop) Overkill 3 wants to fight the repetition and offer a greater level of variability. Craneballs promises that players will not be forced to play the same level 10 times over with little to no change. The game will feature 10 environments from burning deserts to abandoned cities and industrial complexes, more than 50 unique levels and a number of big game moments.
Overkill 3 is expected to be released in Summer/Fall of 2014 for both iOS and Android and it will be a free-to-play title. Stay tuned to Nineoverten.com for more news and details on Overkill 3.
