I must have missed entering a cinema for the past couple of years since I only caught whiff of the upcoming Angelina Jolie film, Maleficent. If the name sounds familiar, Maleficent is Mistress of All Evil from the 1959 Disney animated film, Sleeping Beauty. Yup, the one with the horns. Disney Interactive today has launch Maleficent Free Fall, a free-to-play puzzle adventure mobile game movie tie-in for iOS, Android and Windows devices. I guess if there’s a studio with the resources to launch a game all all three major platforms, it would be Disney Interactive.
OK, back to the game. Inspired by Disney’s upcoming live-action film Maleficent coming to theaters on May 30, Maleficent Free Fall takes players on an exhilarating and wicked match-3 journey. As players conquer each challenging puzzle, they will unlock new stages, objectives and mysterious surprises. Players can cast Maleficent’s magic to instantly vanish gemstones or rearrange the board with Maleficent’s raven, Diaval.
