A bunch of ex Naughty Dog, Sony, Xbox and Ubisoft execs bandied together to form up mobile game development company Mojaro. Based in Vancouver, Canada, they’ve just released their inaugural title, KnightScape, now available on the iTunes App Store for iOS devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod touch). The game looks like a cross between Zelda and Infinity Blade and is an epic all-action game that combines fast-paced obstacle course levels with hand-to-hand combat.
Set in a stunning medieval 3D world, KnightScape is a sword-smashing adventure where a lowly peasant must fight to become a wealthy prince and rescue his princess. The game takes a chapter from storybook fairytales and immerses players in an action-packed experience featuring an original cast of characters and storyline. To top it off, KnightScape is free-to-play.
KnightScape is the first in a series of games created with the company’s proprietary cross-genre mobile gaming platform, also called Mojaro™, which will pioneer a new extended game experience.
“KnightScape is an engaging, HD quality action adventure game that’s truly cinematic in presentation, and most importantly, a blast to play,” said Mojaro CEO Laurent Ancessi. “This the first game developed for our Mojaro mobile platform, which yields sterling performance as well as cross-pollination benefits that will become apparent in future releases.”
The Mojaro platform has been in development for over two years and players of KnightScape will see the technology come into play as they progress through the game with a surprise toward the end. Check out the game over here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/knightscape/id572180589?mt=8
