Kickstarter can be a finicky beast sometimes, putting up a project doesn’t mean you’ll automatically get backers. Those who succeed in achieving their funding goals may end up with lofty targets to meet, but for those who don’t, some actually managed to turn failure into bigger, better projects.
Having said that, Danish indie developers Logic Artists have successfully met their basic target of USD 70,000 on Kickstarter for their upcoming PC game, Expeditions: Conquistador where players take on the role of a Spanish conqueror and must prove both their diplomatic and strategic skills.
With this funding, Logic Artists will be enabled to reach the level necessary for the basic version of the game which entails two complete campaigns, 100 random events, ten character classes, eight characteristic weapons, and a variety of character skills. The stunning part in all this is that the funding amount was reached in 3 days, and with the Kickstarter campaign ending on September 12th, the team is hoping for additional funding to reach their newly established stretch goals, which include adding passive skills for companions, more weapons and armor as well as character talent trees.
