Come August 2011, video gamers who have been holding out on buying a Nintendo 3DS have a reason to buy the console. And that reason is none other than a whopping USD 80 price cut off the current selling price of USD 249. Yup, it looks like the Japanese company is trying give some momentum to tepid 3DS sales with a new USD 169 price tag starting from August 12th.
If you are currently own one, you’d probably be feeling a little butt-hurt (this is the first time I’m using this particular net-speak word), but no worries, Nintendo has the perfect remedy to sooth the pain, a total of 20 free games split between 10 NES games and 10 GBA ports. I’m willing to bet that there will be another price cut come year end. Should I hold out till then?
Here’s a quick update. Amazon has the 3DS available for pre-order at the new price of USD 169. Check it out over here.
