The retro gaming revivalists DotEmu are now setting their sights on bringing back P-47 The Phantom Fighter (a.k.a P-47 The Freedom Fighter). Previously produced by Jaleco on the arcade cabinet, Amiga, Atari ST, Amstrad, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Super NES, P-47 The Phantom Fighter will be available in July on the iTunes App Store!
This iPhone port will take players back to World War II, controlling this mythical war aircraft, the P-47. Players will have to fight the Axis alliance across eight levels, face some fearsome bosses, and use as few lives as possible. The game will feature two gameplay modes, namely Survival and History.
P-47 TPF will make players experience the thrill of horizontal shoot-em up action with its intuitive touch-panel controls, gorgeous scenery and various opponents. Players can challenge themselves and impress their friends by sharing their scores on the Game Center or directly from the application on Facebook. Stay tuned to Nine Over Ten 9/10 for more updates on this title.
