Who would have thought that a game involving knocking some tin cans down can be this tough? In Gaston #2 – Knock’em Down for the iPhone, players are tasked with knocking down tin cans which are arranged in a variety of ways in each level. There’s just one catch, each can must be knocked down, with none still standing in their original up-right position. Hehehe. The game is punishing in a sense since you might have knocked down 12 cans, with 1 can still standing.
Completing one level unlocks the next level and there are a 100 levels to play through in Gaston #2. Like Angry Birds, this is a physics based challenge, but targeting system in Gaston #2 is much simpler in this game as players roughly have to just aim in a straight line. Easy accessibility aside, another part of the game that I really like is the comic-book art that reminded me of comic strips such as “Bringing Up Father” and “Blondie“.
Gaston #2 comes with Game Center connectivity, bringing together online leaderboards and achievements and is pretty much the complete package casual game with lots of replay value. For these reasons, Nine Over Ten 9/10 awards Gaston #2 – Knock’em Down with a 4.5 over 5 rating. Excellent stuff.
