I don’t about you but I used to play Jenga when I was younger. It basically involved pulling out plastic/wooden blocks from a neatly arranged stack/tower without causing it to fall. NaturalMotion Games will be releasing the iPhone and iPad versions of Jenga tomorrow (December 9th) on the App Store, and this should be really interesting to see how the game translate from the table top to the touch screen. NaturalMotion Games Stacks Up To Release Jenga on the App Store in Two Days: Anticipation builds over first authentic Jenga experience for iPhone and iPad!
NaturalMotion Games will be releasing Jenga on the App Store this Thursday, December 9th, heralding a new era in mobile gaming that carefully balances console-quality physics and animation with traditional table-top gaming. In consultation with Jenga creator Leslie Scott, the inventor of the original Jenga, and Jenga licensor Pokonobe Associates, the latest offering from NaturalMotion Games takes the nail-biting gameplay and precision physics of the cultural phenomenon in a bold new direction.
Jenga for iPhone and iPad builds on the classic Jenga experience with intuitive multi-touch controls, real-world physics and a towering helping of exacting gameplay for the whole family. Jenga for iOS devices is bursting with exclusive modes, including the original Classic mode (how high can you go?), in a conveniently portable digital platform. On top of the wildly popular classic, Jenga for iPhone also features the brand new Jenga Arcade mode, in which players score points by matching colors, and earn coins to spend on special boosts.
Always a thrilling social game, the Pass’n’Play mode lets players hand their device and tower to their neighbor and back – first player to make the tower fall loses! Players can also see how their friends are doing worldwide, by peeking at an in-game comparison of their current tower next to their best efforts. Jenga for iPhone and iPad features full real-time physics, attributable to NaturalMotion’s experience in physics simulation, as well as two beautiful original environments, rendered at a quality previously only possible on next-generation consoles.
Jenga will be available in the App Store for iPhone and iPod touch this Thursday, December 9th for $2.99. The game was developed by NaturalMotion Games, and marks the second game published under the recently announced NaturalMotion Games label. The Oxford and San Francisco based digital publisher serves as the publishing arm of NaturalMotion, the leading game technology and development company that created the original Backbreaker Football game.
