I was so stoked about the reviews for BioShock 2 that I thought it would be a good idea to play the first game, before getting the sequel. Lucky for me, there was someone selling the R2 copies of the game for just RM 40 (about 5 quid).
The game arrived in my mailbox today but unfortunately there’s a bug on the phat Sony PS3 models and it is causing plenty of problems to gamers worldwide. Some reported that this “leap year bug” (the console apparently thinks that 2010 is a leap year..FIL) caused gamers unable to logon to PSN, games to be unplayable and also triggered the loss of trophy information.
If you have a phat Sony PS3 as opposed to a slim one, my suggestion would be to NOT switch it on and wait for further instructions from Sony. To get the latest updates, follow them here. As ridiculous as this whole doomsday scenario, as some are calling it, sounds, lets just hope that a fix is not too far off.
Here’s the note that I left to my brother on my PS3 not to switch it on, cause we are known to game at ungodly hours:
For some chuckles, here’s one response on YouTube to this situation that I particularly like:
