Trust the Japanese to come up with something ridiculously over-the-top as Bayonetta. I just finished the demo several hours ago, and I’m still thinking on how awesome the game is.
According to several friends of mine, the game is like the Devil May Cry series but having not played any of the DMC games, I had no clue what I was in for. A whole lot of crazy gun and weapon based moves later, I’m pretty much convince that this is one of the games to watch out for next year.
One thing of note, the music that comes on during the fight scenes kind of reminded of anime like Cyber Team in Akihabara. Just don’t ask me why.
The move that has everyone talking about (the part where the game gets its M rating other than for the violence) is in the demo as well. While being totally unnecessary and totally over-the-top, parents, this is not a game for kids (for numbskulls who can’t still can get pass the M rating logo).
Seeing that shooting from stilettos seem to be rage in Japan, eager players should note that the Japanese release for the PS3 has English language support as well! Now that I’ve gotten your attention, Bayonetta can be purchased over at Play-Asia.com, along with other Bayonetta related stuff. Click here for details. I read that the soundtrack itself is a 5CD set!
