With regards to the missing Adidas King of the Road Run participant that I wrote about on Sunday, I’m sorry to write that Gary Leon Robert was found dead yesterday in a tunnel (basement) of the Shah Alam Stadium. This is very sad news, since my friends and I were participants in the race as well and Gary was a good friend to another pal of mine.
I would like to express my condolences to the family and friends of Gary, and may he rest in peace.

Updates (5th August 2009): The cause of Gary’s death was due to severe dehydration. I hope this puts to rest all the theories that have been going about on the Internet. Thank you. (source: The Star)
wah! so dangerous one ah? died of dehydration and exhaustion?
i extend my condolences to his family. what a thing to have happen! how could he not have been found when he was still in the stadium grounds?
(i went on friday to collect the jerseys and i have to say i thought that place had a bad vibe about it)
Although we don’t talk very often, he was like my friend and my brother to me. I cried non-stop after hearing the saddened news. I’m deeply saddened on the dismiss of my beloved friend and also brother in Christ, Gary Robert. I will always remember his humble heart and the smile he has on his face. I have lost my dear friend and brother. May you rest in peace with the Lord Gary… 🙁
My condolences to his family.
I was shocked when I received a call from my boyfriend about his death. Although I just met him once, I have strong impression on his friendliness and kindness..
Can’t stop my tears neither. He is a wonderful guy.
May he rest in peace..
I am his neighbour but i not really know him,but i saw tons of people come for his funeral.tears drop. And he had a girlfriend too.No matter how,he will still in their memories..
I found this out from my mum, who works in Uniten. He touched the lives and hearts of many of the staff.. apparently he was really helpful, and very polite. His lecturers thought very highly of him.
my condolences to his family, and let us all pray that he rests in peace..
How can they say it’s not foul play when his family knows for a fact his body was found in a dumpster and not in the tunnel. What are they trying to cover up?
Gary was my senior in high school, and his younger sister is the same age as my older brother. I don’t know him personally, but he was a good prefect in school, a good role model. Me and my friends really liked him. I was shocked when my friends told me about his death.
May you rest in peace, Gary.
I met him only once and that was the last too. My share of story, https://crypticwriter.wordpress.com/2009/08/03/i-sat-there-and-cried/. I’m greatly saddened. He’s someone I really admire. May he rest in peace.
