Looks like Need for Speed Shift is shaping up just nicely to provide a realistic racing experience for gamers. This new shift (pun totally intended) from the Need For Speed games of old, plans to deliver a true driver’s experience via real world physics, driver profiles, and perfectly modeled car.
One of the revamped game modes is Drift. Need for Speed Shift will require players to toggle the throttle and brakes, while constantly adjusting the steering to maintain drifts through the corner, just like how drifters do it in real life.
Check out the following interview video with drift racing world champion, Vaughn Gittin Jr., as he talks about his involvement with Slightly Mad Studios, putting in over 100 hours to ensure accuracy and realism to Need for Speed Shift’s drift racing experience.
