I just got back from a charity concert, in aid of Rumah KIDS (a home for orphaned, neglected and abused kids) and it was a blast. This is the second time I got to see the Aseana Percussion Unit performing on stage (the first time was at the Scope International Awards Night), and they brought the house down.
The other performers were very good as well, with Buddy Loren taking the hat (figuratively and literally speaking), as the closing act. He had the house down in stitches with his jokes, multi-lingual singing which included a Hokkien number of all things, and his parodies of various artistes from Elvis right up to Shah Rukh Khan.
Even though the show ran a little late, and the sound system was a little sketchy at times, tonight’s entertainment was excellent and all for a good cause.
