No, it’s not Grandpa Simpson screaming EPAAA!!! in church, but hey, if you are a Nintendo DS owner: Agents are Go! Go! Go! I snagged a copy of Elite Beat Agents for RM 30 today. It’s an old game and most Nintendo DS gamers would know it to be the English remake of that Japanese game known as Ouendan.
For this remake, the same developers, Inis, took out the quirky J-pop soundtrack of the original game and replaced it with a rather eclectic English one, amongst other things and they added a save replay option as well!
The funny thing is, with the leap into the English language, this game loses the appealing quirkiness its predecessor had.
Those of you who are familiar with Ouendan would feel right at home here, even more so since the language barrier is no longer present. I’m abit hopeless at Ouendan, and that fact translates pretty well on EBA, but I did manage to complete a couple of tracks without coping out the first time. Hehe.
If you can’t get this secondhand (look for DS gamers with the “hungry” look, they are more than willing to offload their copy), head over to Play-Asia for a brand new copy. Click here for details.
